Vortex Protocol

SCROLL TO READ ↓

A forensic LARP turns the performance space into an investigative commons, where truth is collectively assembled.

Participants enter Vortex Protocol as operatives in a distributed human network. Working through clues, faction protocols and collective decoding, they investigate structural, patriarchal and capitalist violence across social, technological and mythological systems.

Drawing on Eyal Weizman and Matthew Fuller’s concept of investigative aesthetics, the work treats truth as something performed, debated and made together. Four factions activate different counter-archives: Hecate works through algorithmic sabotage and machine vision; Lilith traces invisible labour and stolen voices; Shahmaran attends to underground clinics and bodily autonomy; Cybele reclaims ecological defence and the commons.

In the final phase, fragmented intelligence, rage and collective healing are compressed into encrypted Word Sigils and cast into a digital fire. LARP becomes a method of political investigation, with the audience taking part in a live process of sense-making.
